Anelda Else

Tutor

I am 28 years old and grew up in a small town in the Overberg.  I have a great passion for Science and obtained a BSc degree from Stellenbosch University.

I always had the desire to help others and it brought me so much joy to make a difference in someone’s life, whether academically or emotionally. I realised there is no other career that would bring me this joy every day than teaching.

I completed my PGCE after obtaining my degree and have been teaching for 5 years.

Besides teaching, I have many hobbies that keep me busy in my free time. From cooking, baking to travelling and hiking. My motto in life is to find ways to step out of my comfort zone. Focus on excitement rather than fear.

Caitlin Mudely

Tutor

Hello! I am currently pursuing my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), building on my background with a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. I have a passion for teaching Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Physics, and I’ve been dedicated to tutoring since 2017 and teaching these subjects since 2019.

My experience in tutoring extends beyond formal teaching; I have also been assisting friends and family with their academic needs over the past few years. I find great satisfaction in lending a helping hand in the academic field, witnessing firsthand how individuals grow and reach their full potential with a bit of guidance and support.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I enjoy a variety of hobbies. In my spare time, you can often find me engrossed in a good book, working on a crochet project, or dancing to my favorite tunes. My diverse interests help me bring creativity and enthusiasm to my teaching approach, making learning both enjoyable and effective for my students.

Carla Barnard

Tutor

Hi I’m Carla, a passionate and dedicated mathematics teacher. I completed my PGCE specializing in Mathematics and Drama and Theatre Arts. I have also worked with many learners, tutoring and teaching over the past 8 years. I believe I have a unique approach to teaching, because I try to adapt to what each learner needs and how they learn. Together we will find creative ways to tackle our struggles and learn how to think outside of the box.

My number one motto when working with a learner is: “Never be afraid of making mistakes” because we need to make mistakes in order to learn how to correct them. I aim to create a safe and trusting environment where we can build your confidence in Maths together without fear of judgment.

When I am not teaching, I love creating through photography and spending time with my family and two dogs.
