Chrissie Botha

Tutor

Chrissie is a qualified teacher with Math and Science as her focus subjects. Since a young age Chrissie has been captivated by nature and the world around her. She loves every aspect of Science, and found her calling in the combination of science and teaching. Chrissie often compares her learners to flowers, recognising that each learner needs different nutrients and support as they progress through life, in order for them to flourish. She lives for the moments when a learner’s face lights up, because in that moment she knows they have gained a piece of knowledge that is directing them one step closer to success.

When she is not teaching, she loves spending time in nature, singing, doing art, cooking, baking and cuddling up to her Schnauzer. Chrissie values inter-personal relationships and places a high priority on nurturing these relationships with her friends, family and learners.

Lara Jonker

Tutor

The fact that my favourite colour is yellow should tell you that I’m a lively person. I am energetic and ambitious and strive to always focus on the positive in any situation! There is always something to be thankful for! I knew I wanted to teach since I was 9 years old, and after completing my education degree in mathematics, I am ready to take on my favourite subject, maths! Maths is like life; it happens! It is something every human has to deal with, if you like it or not! So why don’t we just deal with it and figure it out, even if we don’t always like it?

I believe admitting your weakness doesn’t make you weak, but it makes you stronger. Students should not feel embarrassed but rather driven to figure out why they struggle with something. I am here to help them achieve that!

I love exercising, and I present fitness classes on the side and I am passionate about capturing God’s creation as I am a part-time photographer as well! I believe in balance, and that work and rest are both needed to achieve success!

Anelda Else

Tutor

I am 28 years old and grew up in a small town in the Overberg.  I have a great passion for Science and obtained a BSc degree from Stellenbosch University.

I always had the desire to help others and it brought me so much joy to make a difference in someone’s life, whether academically or emotionally. I realised there is no other career that would bring me this joy every day than teaching.

I completed my PGCE after obtaining my degree and have been teaching for 5 years.

Besides teaching, I have many hobbies that keep me busy in my free time. From cooking, baking to travelling and hiking. My motto in life is to find ways to step out of my comfort zone. Focus on excitement rather than fear.
